VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT

 

Beth Posner retired after 40+ years of working in the technology and telecommunications field.  A good friend of hers suggested she look into volunteering at The Literacy Center.  Beth always loved language, and believed that learning our language would give someone insight into our culture.  In 2010, Beth became a classroom assistant in a beginning ESL class.  She worked with 2 different teachers before deciding to switch to an intermediate ESL class in 2012, where she is currently volunteering.  Beth has also given her time to help with registration sessions and other events at TLC.  She loves the students, the classroom environment, and working with the TLC staff.

Beth has been married for 46 years and has 2 grown children.
