Faces of Literacy 2016Created in 2013 Faces of Literacy promotes the important role education in English as a Second Language (ESL) and GED – high school equivalency instruction contribute to improving the lives of adults in the Lehigh Valley.

Each year three students, who have overcome numerous personal obstacles are featured. Their personal stories of struggle and achievement are shared and celebrated.  Faces of Literacy recipients serve as inspiration to all enrolled students. They demonstrate that literacy is more than reading and writing.  Literacy encompasses sustainable work skills and technology, knowledge about personal health, nutrition and finance.  Literacy truly promotes healthy families, increases economic development and builds thriving communities.
