Technology Lab Volunteer
If you have computer
skills, consider
volunteering time to
help students during
free study times in our
Literacy Learning
Center, a computerized
PC lab with 16
student computers.
Perhaps you’d be willing
to teach a basic
computer skills class
once a month or simply help students with their computer and internet skills. Again,
we’ll work with you to
set up a volunteer
schedule that’s
convenient for you.
Please call 610.435.0680, Extension 123 and ask for Patricia Gardner for futher information!
Program Volunteer
We depend on Program
Volunteers to accomplish
very important tasks and
activities including:
- Student Registration
and Assessment
This is a flexible
volunteer assignment
(minimum of 8 hours per
month) and is an
enjoyable way to get to
know the learners in our
programs. To get
started, we’ll train you
to help those interested
in registering for
service to fill in
various registration
materials. We will also
train you in use of
assessment tools
(placement tests) until
you are comfortable
conducting these
assessments yourself
when students enter or
leave our program. We’ll
work with you to set up
a volunteer schedule
that’s convenient for
you (hours are available
both daytime and early
evening).
Project and Event
Volunteer
Volunteers are needed to
help coordinate special
events or fundraising
projects. If you enjoy being
part of a project team,
working to organize and
successfully manage an
event, we’d love to hear
from you! Whatever your
skills, there is a role for
you.
Do you have an idea for a
fundraiser? Contact us if
you would like to help us
raise much needed program
funds. From yard and bake
sales to company dress down
days, there are ways that
you can make a difference.
Administrative Volunteer
Help keep our office
running smoothly. As an
Office Volunteer, you can
coordinate mailings, provide
data entry support,
telephone volunteers and
students from updates,
answer telephones.
